Morrisons, Asda, Tesco and Waitrose recall burgers, ice cream and more

The Food Standards Agency is recalling a number of products sold at major supermarkets in the face of safety fears.

These include the possibility some items may contain pieces of plastic.

There are concerns about ice cream being sold by Morrisons and burgers by Waitrose.

Shoppers are being warned to not eat affected products and return them to their nearest supermarket as soon as possible.

Here are the affected products.

Morrisons

Morrisons is recalling Morrisons Amour Classic Vanilla Ice Cream because the product may contain small pieces of plastic.

The possible presence of plastic makes this product unsafe to eat.

Point of sale notices will be displayed in all retail stores that are selling this product.

These notices explain to customers why the product is being recalled and tell them what to do if they have bought the product.

If you have bought the above product, do not eat it. Instead, return it to the store from where it was bought for a full refund.

Asda

Asda is recalling Asda Extra Special Lamb Moussaka because it contains egg which is not mentioned on the label.

This means the product is a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy or intolerance to egg.
