A bottle of mulled wine from Morrisons has been crowned as the best in the UK for this Christmas .
The Winter Warmer mulled wine was recently given first place in Good Housekeeping's 2019 taste test , beating pricier options from retailers like Harvey Nichols .
It's available to buy for just £3.75 at Morrisons supermarkets nationwide as well as online at morrisons.com.
This year's testers described the festive tipple as having a ‘lovely fruity and ginger aroma’ with ‘hints of cinnamon, ginger and citrus’.
Morrisons Wine Expert, Mark Jarman, said “We’re proud to be able to offer such a rich mulled wine at such a bargain price. We hope it spices up customers lives this Christmas.”
Boasting a 10% ABV (alcohol by volume), Winter Warmer Mulled Wine is best served warm to bring out the aromas and flavours.
Morrisons suggests heating the drink gently in a saucepan or microwaving it in a suitable container for 45 seconds.
The runner up in Good Housekeeping's mulled wine taste test comes from none other than Sainsbury's , who are currently selling the bottles of their Taste the Difference mulled wine for £5 - down from £6.
Tesco's Mulled Wine was also given a decent score and is currently available to buy online for £2.75 (was £3.50).
