A Perthshire school which is being investigated by the Scottish Child Abuse Inquiry has said it has not received any complaints against the school.
Morrison’s Academy in Crieff is being investigated by the inquiry for the time when it ran as a boarding school.
Those who may have been impacted by any abuse are currently being asked to come forward and share their experiences with the Scottish Child Abuse Inquiry.
However, the independent school says it has not received any direct complaint of this nature.
It adds it has also notified parents of its involvement in this investigation.
Gareth Warren, rector and principal of Morrison’s Academy, said: “Morrison’s Academy has been notified by the Scottish Child Abuse Inquiry that the school will be part of the inquiry’s investigation process.
“The school is among a number of schools across Scotland that has been contacted by the inquiry investigation team.
“The school has not received any direct complaint so the team at Morrison’s Academy is not aware of the nature of any complaint relating to the school.
“We will continue to support the important work of the Scottish Child Abuse Inquiry.
“Parents and staff have been notified of our inclusion in the investigation.”
