Following a very disappointing loss to Venezuela in Madrid last week, Argentina will play their last match before the Copa América tournament when they meet Morocco in an international friendly on Tuesday. And this time, they’ll have to do it without their best player.

Argentina: The loss to Venezuela was a disaster for Argentina for multiple reasons: they looked really bad, which is a terrible sign in the second-to-last match ahead of a big tournament in just three months; they still don’t have a definitive starting XI, another big problem when your first game in the Copa América is against a really good Colombia team; and they lost Lionel Messi to a groin injury, which means they’ll have to play the last preparation game for the tournament without the best player in the team.
So now it is up to the coaching staff and star players like Paulo Dybala and Lautaro Martínez to give Argentina fans some reason for optimism. As crazy as it sounds, this international friendly is a must-win for Argentina. They need to show some promise, and they have enough talent to do it. Even without their superstar.
Morocco: Morocco will be excited to face one of the most prestigious national teams in the world at home, and they have some seriously talented players like Hakim Ziyech, Medhi Benatia, and Amine Harit so this will not be an easy game for the Albiceleste.
