Morocco Requires Travelers to Present Valid Vaccination Pass, Negative PCR Test Result

Morocco exempts vaccinated people from presenting negative PCR test. (MAP)

People wishing to travel to Morocco are now required to present a valid COVID-19 immunization pass or undergo a PCR test 72 hours prior to boarding, the health ministry announced on Wednesday.

The decision comes in line with the updated national health protocol for international travel and the stabilization in the epidemiological situation locally and in the world.

People with a valid vaccination pass should have received all the coronavirus vaccine doses, including the booster shot for Pfizer, or a single dose of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine, which is equivalent to two doses of other vaccines.

Children under 12 are exempt from all access requirements.

The ministry said travelers may check its official website and social media pages for more details on the updated national health protocol for international travel.

The government announced on Monday a decision to cancel the mandatory PCR test for travelers, citing the improved epidemiological situation in the kingdom.
