Morocco's Foreign Minister Nasser Bourita reiterated its condemnation of the Houthi attacks and their supporters against civil and economic facilities in Saudi Arabia and the UAE.

Bourita also affirmed Morocco's rejection and condemnation of all forms of Iranian interference in the internal affairs of the Gulf countries, particularly Bahrain.

The Minister held talks via videoconference with the Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), Nayef al-Hajraf, addressing the strategic partnership between Morocco and the GCC since 2011.

Bourita recalled that Morocco has always perceived the security and stability of Gulf countries as an intrinsic part of its security and stability.

For his part, Hajraf praised Morocco's solidarity with the GCC countries and their national causes and the distinguished level of partnership relations binding the two sides.

He stressed the GCC's strong determination to further consolidate these relations in accordance with the aspirations of King Mohammed VI and the GCC leaders.

The Sec-Gen reaffirmed GCC's unwavering position in favor of Morocco's sovereignty over its Sahara and territorial unity.

He stressed that no solution to this artificial regional conflict could be achieved outside the framework of the sovereignty of Morocco and its territorial integrity.

Bourita renewed Morocco's appreciation of the brotherly Gulf countries for their united and unwavering stance with the Kingdom, as expressed in the final declaration issued at the end of the 42nd session of the Supreme Council of the GCC, held on December 14, 2021, in Riyadh.

The declaration reaffirmed the constant positions of the Council in favor of Morroco's integrity over the Sahara and its constant support for Rabat's territorial integrity.

The Minister stressed Morocco's readiness to continue working with the General Secretariat and the Gulf countries to lay the foundations for a new stage of qualitative cooperation, aimed at developing a renewed and favorable partnership framework to strengthen political, economic, commercial, and human relations.
