Morning ScotRail services between Edinburgh and Glasgow affected by 'signalling fault'

Morning train services between Edinburgh and Glasgow are being disrupted this morning due to a "signalling fault".

ScotRail reported at around 6.40am that there was an issue on the line between Stepps and Glasgow Queen Street, and that this would affect trains running between Edinburgh and Glasgow via Falkirk Grahamston and Cumbernauld.

Passengers are being told to expect delays, while the rail operator says that staff have been mobilised and will be arriving at the scene of the problem shortly.

Disruption is likely to continue until at least 8am.
