Two people have been rushed to hospital following a serious road crash on the Bellshill bypass this morning (Wednesday).
Emergency services rushed to the scene after reports of the accident at the A725 Bellziehill roundabout around 8.50am.
Police Scotland has confirmed that a car and van were involved in the incident, and that two people have been taken to hospital for treatment.
Traffic Scotland has been keeping commuters up-to-date on Twitter.
It’s most recent Tweet stated: “A725 Bellshill Bypass southbound towards M74 Raith carriageway remains closed due to a serious RTC.
“Please avoid if possible, there is no ETA of when the road may reopen.”
