ABC
ABC staff fearing for their jobs will learn their fates today as managing director Mark Scott delivers a briefing on the sweeping changes the broadcaster will make in order to meet the Coalition’s $254m budget cuts.
More than 3,000 people rallied in Sydney against the funding cuts yesterday.
Opposition leader Bill Shorten told the rally that Tony Abbott leads “a government of censorship”, and that the cuts would cause the loss of jobs and local content.
Mark Scott has warned the cuts will lead to “significant” job losses.
