THE Department of Education has confirmed both Morisset High and Lake Munmorah Public School will reopen on Friday for staff and for students who are unable to learn remotely.
"Lake Munmorah Public School will reopen for staff, students and visitors [on Friday] after two students tested positive to COVID-19," the department said in a statement.

"Students and staff identified as close contacts have been notified and asked to self-isolate for the required period.
"The school has been thoroughly cleaned and the school will be open from Friday 6 August, 2021 for any child who is unable to learn from home."
It said Morisset High School will also reopen today after a student tested positive to COVID-19.
"The school has been thoroughly cleaned and students and staff identified as close contacts have been notified and asked to self-isolate for the required period," it said.
"We will continue to work closely with NSW Health to ensure that all necessary health advice is adhered to.

Meanwhile Maitland Christian School told its families on Thursday night it would write to them "soon" with an update. Two of its students tested positive to COVID-19.
"We appreciate that families are anxiously awaiting an update on today's COVID situation," it said.
"We are currently working earnestly with NSW Health, having the care of students, staff and families at the forefront of our actions.
"We will write to you soon with an update. You are all in our thoughts and prayers."
