Morgan Schneiderlin casts doubt over Everton future ahead of summer transfer window reshuffle

Morgan Schneiderlin has cast potential doubt over his Everton future with his latest comments.

The midfielder started the term as Marco Silva's first choice in the centre of midfield, but found his options more limited when Andre Gomes returned to full fitness and forced his way into the side.

The Frenchman picked up more minutes towards the end of the campaign thanks to a suspension to the Portuguese international, but has cast his long-term future into a little more doubt with his latest comments.

The 29-year-old still has two years left to run on his contract at Goodison Park, but has admitted he could be tempted to leave Everton if the right project was offered to him elsewhere.

"Today I still have two years of contract, and I am a bit divided," Schneiderlin told Winamax .

"I arrived, I had a good performance, and the next season was a bit more complicated.

"For the moment I am in the optics to respect my contract, after we will see. If the club wants to sell me and I am offered an interesting project for me, anything is possible.

"I mostly want and need to play, I feel that I have reached perhaps my best level physically, so we'll see.

"Yeah, everything is a possibility. I am open to discover another championship, another culture."
