Morgan Moses wears No. 71 Trent Williams jersey to press conference

Veteran left tackle Trent Williams has not yet shown up at Washington Redskins training camp, hoping to send a strong message to the team — and the league as well — about treating players the right way.

It became apparent on Sunday that his teammates in Washington are looking to send a message as well; they stand with Trent.

After the third day of training camp on Sunday, offensive lineman Morgan Moses showed up to media availability wearing a Redskins jersey. However, it wasn’t his own, but rather a No. 71 Trent Williams jersey. The message was loud and clear; players in the locker room are standing strong with their longtime teammate.

Moses, who is competing for the starting spot at right tackle, made it clear what should be obvious — Williams wants to be at practice and with the team, but he is holding onto his personal beliefs and betting on himself. It is to be a complicated matter that could take weeks to sort out between the pro bowl tackle and team management, but Moses made it clear on Sunday that whenever Williams returns, he will be welcomed with open arms.
