Nottingham Forest are set to make Morgan Gibbs-White their 16th signing of the summer in a club record deal.
The attacking midfielder has long been a target for the Reds as boss Steve Cooper shaped his squad for the Premier League. And the long-running saga is close to coming to an end.
Forest have agreed a deal with Wolverhampton Wanderers for the 22-year-old, with a medical expected to take place later today. NottinghamshireLive understands the move is made up of an initial fee of £25m, plus further add-ons - the first £10m of which are likely to happen, with others proving more difficult to achieve which could take the final outlay up to a little more than £40m.

Should all go as expected, the arrival of Gibbs-White would continue a busy window at the City Ground. It comes as Cooper’s side claimed their first three points of the Premier League season at the weekend, beating West Ham United, with a trip to Everton to come on Saturday.
Cooper has long identified Gibbs-White as a top target. The Welshman knows the Wolves man well as the pair worked together at Swansea City and with England Under-17s.
Gibbs-White has attracted plenty of attention this summer after impressing on loan at Sheffield United last term. Everton, Crystal Palace and Southampton have also been linked, but it is Forest who are closing in on securing his signature.
