Future of Nottingham Forest transfer target addressed by Sheffield Wednesday boss

Sheffield Wednesday boss Garry Monk has responded to speculation over the future of Owls defender Morgan Fox.

Nottingham Forest, Derby County and West Bromwich Albion have been linked with a January move for the left-back.

Fox's current contract at Hillsborough is due to expire at the end of this season.

Monk was asked about the 26-year-old's situation as his pre-match press conference on Friday.

“Morgan is doing fantastic," he said.

"All I can say on that side of it is all those things will be taken care of. I’ve got no doubt about that.

“I’ve spoken to the club. When we all get to sit and go through that together, which should be probably into next week, with all the people that need to be sat down in that process, then we’ll do that.

"All of those things will be taken care of, I'm sure."

Fox has made 17 appearances in all competitions for Wednesday this season - and helped them to a 4-0 victory over Forest at the City Ground last weekend.
