Liverpool youngster Morgan Boyes has opened up on his aim of copying compatriot Neco Williams by breaking into the first-team for club and country under Jurgen Klopp and Ryan Giggs respectively.
The 19-year-old made his debut for the Reds last season during the Carabao Cup defeat at Aston Villa, while he made an appearance against Shrewsbury Town in the FA Cup earlier this year too.
And the centre-back, who is spending this season on loan at Fleetwood Town under Joey Barton, has also spent time training among Liverpool's first-team stars - testing himself against the likes of Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah.
"The class is completely different," Boyes told the BBC.
"You do get that quick shock of [playing with] the best players in the world.
"I have played with him [ Williams ] for years, with Wales and with Liverpool.
"Seeing what he has done is brilliant for him - he is where I want to be eventually.
"It's brilliant to see that someone who has done the exact same things as me throughout the years has gone and got the opportunities. It just shows that it can be done."
Williams and Boyes both have 19 caps for Wales Under-19s - a joint record they share with Cardiff City's Sam Bowen.
And while Williams is now starting to feature for the Welsh senior side, Boyes played for the under-21s for the first time last month and is expected to feature tonight during Wales' UEFA U21 Championship qualifier in Belgium.
Boyes will then join with the Wales U19s squad - where he is captain - for next Tuesday's friendly against England before returning to Fleetwood in League One under Barton.
"He [Barton] has years of experience so any little bit of information you can take from him is a bonus," Boyes said.
"I am just trying to make the best out of the loan for me and also for the club."
