Morgan 3-wheeler fun is on its way back

MORGAN has confirmed it is working on an all-new three-wheeled vehicle to replace the outgoing iconic
3 Wheeler.

An early glimpse of the model shows a heavily disguised prototype undergoing durability testing.

The famous British sports car maker says it will be defined by an all-new design (inspired by the early jet age), adventurous character and significant engineering advancements.

While many details on the newcomer are yet to be announced – including a name – Morgan will continue its long-standing use of Ford powerplants.

The car will be fitted with one of the blue oval badge’s naturally aspirated three-cylinder petrol units.

Orders for the previous Morgan 3 Wheeler – which started production in 2011 – closed at the beginning of 2021, with the manufacture of these final vehicles taking place throughout the year.

Boss Steve Morris said: “We are thrilled to confirm plans for an all-new, three-wheeled Morgan. The outgoing 3 Wheeler was adored by customers and enthusiasts alike, and will inspire this next generation.

“The upcoming model is a ground-up design. Morgan’s team of engineers and designers have considered everything the company has learned from the decade of building and selling the predecessor.

“We look forward to sharing more about this exciting new vehicle in due course.”
