Morelos next club revealed as ex-Rangers striker 'finalising move'

Alfredo Morelos is reportedly finally closing in on a move to his next club.

The Colombian striker has spent the entire summer without a new team after leaving Rangers at the end of the season.

However, it's claimed he is well advanced in negotiations with a club in South America.

Morelos had been linked with a host of clubs in Europe but now looks likely to move further afield after his Rangers exit.

Journalist Cesar Luis Merlo claims Morelos is on a trip to Brazil where he is negotiating a move to Santos.

It's thought the negotiations are well advanced with a deal expected to be completed after final discussions between the club, Morelos and his representatives.

Luis reports: "Alfredo Morelos is on a trip to Brazil to discuss the final aspects of his possible arrival in Santos.

"The negotiation is well advanced and the deal is expected to be finalized once he and his agent arrive at. His last club was Rangers."

It comes after a move to Fenerbahce reported fell through due to 'attitude concens'.

Outlet Ajansspor claims that the club have now "given up on the player's transfer".

One of the reasons cited for this is that Morelos is described as having an "aggressive attitude," which the club did not want to take a risk on.

The 27-year-old netted 124 times in 269 games for Rangers across six seasons, lifting the Scottish Premiership and Scottish Cup during his time in Glasgow.
