More visitors are allowed in Victorian households after the state government further lifted coronavirus restrictions in time for the long weekend.
The indoor gathering limit at homes doubled at midnight on Friday from 15 people to 30.
The smaller limit on home gatherings had been introduced on New Year's Eve, as the state recorded a cluster of new cases linked to a Black Rock Thai restaurant.
There are 31 active cases in Victoria, with one remaining locally acquired case linked to the Black Rock cluster, and 30 cases in travellers in the hotel quarantine system.
The state notched up 16 days straight with no local transmission of the virus on Friday, although Spanish tennis player Paula Badosa has tested positive in hotel quarantine.
Meanwhile, more Victorians stranded interstate will be able to return home, thanks to a further easing of interstate border restrictions.
The greater Sydney local government areas marked red zones in recent weeks have been downgraded to orange, with the exception of Cumberland.
People travelling to Victoria from an orange zone will need to apply for a permit, get tested for COVID-19, and isolate until they receive a negative result.
Unrestricted travel into Victoria is also allowed from Greater Brisbane and regional NSW, with the exception of Wollongong and the Blue Mountains.
Meanwhile, Victoria will receive 1500 seasonal farm workers from the Pacific Islands, who will quarantine in Tasmania before travelling to the mainland.
