'More to come' - Chris Hughton excited by Nottingham Forest duo after win over Wycombe Wanderers

Chris Hughton admits he would have liked Nottingham Forest to win by a bigger margin, but nonetheless he was 'delighted' with his team's 2-0 win against Wycombe Wanderers.

Lyle Taylor scored either side of half-time to secure a second win in a row for the Reds heading into the international break.

It might have been more but for two brilliant saves late on from Ryan Allsop, who denied Anthony Knockaert and Harry Arter with the game stretched.

"It was a tough game. Everyone who knows this league will look a the results today and this weekend," he said.

"They're a team that plays a direct style but they're effective. We were up against a real tough team.

"We had to work hard, defend very well and wait for those good opportunities.

"You can't underestimate the quality of the opposition and how hard you have to work to get results.

"The only disappointing thing is that at 2-0 the game is stretched.

"They were going for it and we had good opportunities to increase that lead. The keeper made a great save from Harry Arter and we got in a couple of positions where we might have done better but overall I'm delighted with our performance."

Hughton was thrilled with Taylor's third and fourth goals of the season, but he was more happy or Miguel Guerrero, who came into the side and impressed as a deep lying forward behind Taylor.

"I'm probably more pleased for Guerrero. Lyle is one we know well," he said.

"We don't know so much about Guerrero. He's still feeling his way in. Is it the right game to play him? When should we bring him in?

"What we have in both of them is two players who haven't played a lot of 90 minutes in the last few months. I think there's more to come from both of them.

"That's a plus, particularly when we've been looking for more offensively."
