The prospect of any meaningful cricket being played in the Sheffield Shield clash between Queensland and South Australia is rapidly dwindling, with further delays on day three.
Tuesday and Wednesday's play at Ian Healy Oval were lost to rain and ground conditions and umpires won't convene about the potential for some action on Thursday until 3pm (AEDT).
The game had already been moved to the revamped suburban oval due to concerns over the drainage at Allan Border Field, with Brisbane deluged by days of rain.
But despite improved weather over the last two days, the outfield is still sodden, with any play on day three touch and go.
Given Friday is the last day of the match an outright result would now likely only materialise with a couple of particularly sporting declarations.
Top-placed Queensland will start turning their attentions to the final -round match against NSW starting on April 3, with a win likely to give the Bulls hosting rights for the final.
SA are in last place and now seem set to claim a fourth consecutive wooden spoon in the competition.
