'More than pleased' - Why Middlesbrough fans are delighted with Nottingham Forest stalemate

Middlesbrough fans have been reacting to their side’s 1-1 draw with Nottingham Forest on Tuesday night.

The Reds had to settle for a point in their Sky Bet Championship clash at the City Ground, but remain in fifth place in the league standings.

Ryan Yates had initially given Forest the lead, but a second half penalty from Paddy McNair saw the points shared on Trentside.

Sabri Lamouchi and his players will now begin preparing for their next match in the Championship which sees them take on Sheffield Wednesday at the weekend.

Forest fans have had their say on the contest, but what about those of a Boro persuasion?

Here is a selection of what supporters of the away side had to say.

Richard Griffiths: “That is a very decent point Boro. Forest are a well positioned side with a solid home record. I really feel we are starting to turn a corner. A small step forward maybe but 7 points out of 12 is a decent return. At least we are not the forlorn looking side we were 2 months ago. UTB. Keep it up.”

Paul Johns: “Great point. Funny how we showed some fight and attacking intent once we went a goal down. More than pleased with a point there considering circumstances. UTB.”

Kevin Fleming: “Great point but need work on the passing. Sloppy at times but pleased with a draw.”

Mark Stead: “Good result that. Not a ground we ever do that well at. Nice to see a comeback as well. UTB.”

Matthew Nicholson: “Great result! We were very poor for a lot of the game but we showed a lot of character and responded really well to equalise. Looking forward to Swansea.”

Mohammad Ibrar: “Good solid point at the City Ground. It has not been the best ground for us, hopefully we can beat Swansea City on Saturday.”

Christopher Taylor: “We would have taken a point before the match, onwards and upwards UTB.”
