Cllr Anna Keen, cabinet member for education and skills said: “It is great that we’ve continued to offer the vast majority of parents their first preference school this year and that every child in Bristol has got a place.

"As a Learning City we know that education is important at all levels and primary is a key milestone in any child’s development.

“If any parents have any concerns with the offer they have received I’d encourage them to get in touch with our school admissions team to discuss options.”

Families who applied online will receive an email today with their offer. If you can't see it, the council advises people to check their SPAM folders.

Households who applied by post will be sent a letter today (16 April).
