More than half of England's regions have reported zero coronavirus deaths on one day over the last week, figures show.
Data up to yesterday reveals that six of the country's nine areas registered no fatalities at least once over the past seven days.
Additionally, four regions reported single figure death totals for every day last week, according to official numbers.
The South West was the only area to record zero deaths twice over the last seven days, on March 23 and March 20.
March 24 saw four regions - East of England, South East, Yorkshire & The Humber and West Midlands - register no fatalities.
