Football game Fifa causes the second most number of arguments, followed by Fortnite and Football Manager.

The research conducted by Cardschat.com, also revealed nearly a quarter of couples row up to 100 times a year over computer games.

Susan Trombetti, leading matchmaker, relationship expert, and CEO of Exclusive Matchmaking, said couples need to meet in the middle to make iron out any problems caused by gaming.

She said: “Gaming is a way to be connected without really connecting with people thus, sometimes, increasing your social isolation. “This can cause issues for relationships.

“Some things you can try are limiting time spent on the game instead of banning them altogether.
