More than 85,000 tested as ACT continues virus-free streak

More than 85,600 COVID-19 tests have been conducted in the ACT as the national capital continued its almost nine-week run without a new infection.

It has been almost 60 days since a new COVID-19 case was detected in Canberra and 85,667 negative tests have been returned, including 810 in the past 24 hours.

It came as ACT chief health officer Kerryn Coleman gave the green light for Canberra Stadium to host 6000 fans for the Super Rugby AU grand final.

There have been 113 cases of coronavirus in the ACT throughout the pandemic. Three people have died and 110 people have recovered.

Despite Canberra's strong position, ACT Health has urged the community not to be complacent.
