More than 7,500 new cases of Covid-19 confirmed across Nottinghamshire in past month

Latest figures show how many positive cases of coronavirus have been confirmed over the past 28 days.

In the month since February 7, there have been 5,475 new cases confirmed in Nottinghamshire and an additional 2,322 cases in the city.

After Nottingham, the district of Ashfield recorded the most cases in the past month with 1,027 confirmed.

The official Government data shows how many cases have been confirmed in each part of the county since the start of the pandemic, and is updated daily.

The latest figures are for March 6 and Nottinghamshire Live has compared them with figures reported on February 7.

Here is the latest area-by-area breakdown of total cases as of March 6 (increase from February 7 in brackets):

Ashfield - 9,185 (increase of 1,027)

Bassetlaw - 7,576 (Increase of 772)

Broxtowe - 6,767 (Increase of 616)

Gedling - 7,784 (Increase of 776)

Mansfield - 7,660 (Increase of 828)

Newark and Sherwood - 6,782 (Increase of 801)

Nottingham - 29,501 (Increase of 2,322)

Rushcliffe - 6,610 (Increase of 655)

The Government said that, as of 4pm on Saturday (March 6), the total of lab-confirmed cases of coronavirus in the UK was 4,213,343.

As of March 5, 21,796,278 people have had their first dose of the vaccine.
