More than £6,000 worth of ink cartridges stolen from Asda and Tesco stores

Police are looking to speak to two men after ink cartridges worth a combined total of more than £6,000 were stolen from Asda and Tesco stores in Mansfield.

Officers were first called to reports of a theft at the Tesco Extra store in Oak Tree Centre, Mansfield, on Monday, August 12.

More than £3,500 worth of ink cartridges were taken from the store by two unknown men who left through the fire escape.

A second incident happened at Asda in Old Mill Lane, which police believe to be linked to the first theft, was reported on Tuesday, August 13.

Around £3,000 worth of ink cartridges were stolen by two men who reportedly put the stolen items into large bags.

A Nottinghamshire Police spokeswoman said: "If you recognise the two men or have information that could aid officers in their investigation, please contact 101 and quote incident number 974 of 12 August 2019."
