More than 500 people enjoy Galloway Activity Centre's latest open day on the banks of Loch Ken

More than 500 people took the chance to enjoy Galloway Activity Centre’s latest open day.

The centre on the banks of Loch Ken delivered more than 1,500 taster sessions throughout the day with the water slide proving particularly popular in the sunshine.

Owner Richard Hermon said: “We were delighted with the outcome and it was great to be able to support Amanda Scott and a small team from Fostering Relations here at the centre.

“There are more than 600 children in the Borders, Dumfries and Galloway and the Glasgow areas in care homes looking for foster homes.

"Please contact amanda@fosteringrelations.org.uk for more information on fostering, a hugely rewarding experience.”

The centre plans to run another open day in November.
