More than 500 new coronavirus cases recorded across Nottinghamshire in 24 hours

More than 500 new coronavirus cases have been recorded across Nottinghamshire in 24 hours.

Data from Public Health England released on Sunday night, November 8, revealed that 156 people tested positive in Nottingham, which has now had 12,720 cases since the pandemic started.

A total of 513 positive Covid-19 cases were seen across the county, which is down on Saturday's figure which showed 563 new cases were recorded across the county.

Most places saw a decrease in the figure from the previous day, but Bassetlaw and Mansfield saw a slight increase.

Nationally, the latest R number is estimated at 1.1 to 1.3 with 20,572 new cases recorded across the UK.

156 deaths were recorded in 24 hours.

Ashfield - 2,527 (increase of 61)

Bassetlaw - 2,519 (increase of 75)

Broxtowe - 2,599 (increase of 35)

Gedling - 2,718 (increase of 62)

Mansfield - 12,049 (increase of 61)

Newark and Sherwood - 2,089 (increase of 39)

Nottingham - 12,720 (increase of 156)

Rushcliffe - 2,725 (increase of 24)
