More than 500 further coronavirus cases have been reported in Nottinghamshire

A further 511 people have tested positive for coronavirus across Nottinghamshire during the last 24 hours, latest figures show on Saturday (February 6).

The official Government data, shows the number of new cases recorded in each part of the county.

The figures represent a slight increase from the 460 new cases recorded on Friday, February 5.

The largest daily increase was recorded in the city of Nottingham, of 169 cases.

Elsewhere across the county, the biggest daily rise was in Mansfield.

Here is the latest area-by-area breakdown as of February 6:

Ashfield - 8,099 (increase of 59)

Bassetlaw - 6,772 (Increase of 57)

Broxtowe - 6,112 (Increase of 34)

Gedling - 6,972 (Increase of 56)

Mansfield - 6,789 (Increase of 71)

Newark and Sherwood - 5,942 (Increase of 28)

Nottingham - 27,053 (Increase of 169)

Rushcliffe - 5,927 (Increase of 37)

The Government said that, as of 9am on Saturday, there had been a further 18,262 lab-confirmed cases of coronavirus in the UK.

It brings the total number of cases in the UK to 3,929,835.

Government data up to February 5 shows of the 11,975,267 jabs given in the UK so far, 11,465,210 were first doses – a rise of 494,163 on the previous day’s figures.

Some 510,057 were second doses, an increase of 4,064 on figures released the previous day.

The seven-day rolling average of first doses given in the UK is now 440,896.
