More than 50 Ayrshire NHS workers are self-isolating due to Covid-19.
Health bosses have confirmed that 45 of their workers are isolating at home after being identified as close contacts whilst a further six have tested positive for coronavirus as of Monday, July 12.
NHS Ayrshire & Arran say they have "prepared extensively" to deal with COVID-19 and are working hard to ensure they have the right "resources, equipment and staffing in place."
A spokesperson for the health board said: "As of Monday, July 12, we currently have six staff self-isolating at home as a result of testing positive for coronavirus (COVID-19) and 45 staff self-isolating at home due to household members displaying symptoms or having been contacted by Test and Protect."
It comes as the region exits the top 10 Covid hotspots in Europe as reported by Ayrshire Live last week.
Case numbers have shown a drop with 245 per 100,000 being recorded in the last seven days as of Monday, July 12.
There are currently 19 patients in hospital with confirmed Covid-19 across Ayrshire.
