Police have confiscated a “substantial amount of alcohol” after they discovered more than 40 youths drinking in a large gathering in Carmarthenshire.
The incident happened near the harbour in Burry Port on Saturday night.
Police said they received calls from concerned members of the public and sent community support officers to the scene at around 8.45pm.
While Burry Port is not currently subject to local coronavirus restrictions like Llanelli, there is still a requirement for people to engage in social distancing and outdoor gatherings are only permitted - until Friday’s fire-breaker lockdown - in groups of a maximum of 30.
Police have confirmed that they sent the youths home and removed alcohol from their possession, but they did not issue any fixed penalty notices for coronavirus regulation breaches.
