More than 350 new positive coronavirus test results in Bristol area

There have been more than 350 new positive coronavirus test results recorded in the Bristol area, according to government data.

Public Health England statistics reveal 367 positive COVID-19 test results have been recorded in the city and surrounding areas during the past 24 hours of recorded data.

Of those 178 were recorded in the city of Bristol.

South Gloucestershire recorded 118 and 71 were recorded in North Somerset.

Government figures also show there have been no new deaths within 28 days of receiving a positive test result.

The number of positive test results in each area since the pandemic began is recorded below, with new positive test results in brackets.

City of Bristol: 54,556 (+178)

North Somerset: 17,249 (+71)

South Gloucestershire: 27,440 (+118)

The number of deaths recorded within 28 days of a positive test in each area of Somerset since the beginning of the pandemic are as follows:

City of Bristol: 506 (-)

North Somerset: 323 (-)

South Gloucestershire: 364 (-)
