More than 140 parcels go missing as an entire delivery van is stolen in Fife

More than 140 parcels have been gone missing after an entire delivery van was stolen in Fife.

The vehicle was taken from Methil around 1pm on Saturday and officers are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.

They are also looking for anyone who might have an "abundance of parcels" to come forward.

Levenmouth Police tweeted: "Delivery vehicle with over 140 parcels stolen in Methil on Saturday around 1pm. Anyone with any knowledge of who is responsible or who has an abundance of parcels gee us a shout!"

A spokeswoman for Police Scotland said: "On Saturday, 7 March, police received a report of a delivery van having been stolen on Wellesley Road, in Methil around 1.20pm.

"Checks are being carried out in the local area in a bid to trace the vehicle which was believed to be heading towards Methil from Methilhaven Road.

"Anyone with information is asked to contact officers on 101 quoting incident 1986 of 7 March."
