More quirky elf antics inspired by Elf on the Shelf

December's only just begun but families in Liverpool who getting into the festive spirit by sharing pictures of the cheeky elves.

Lots are taking part in the Christmas tradition of Elf on The Shelf and grown-ups have been thinking up elaborate and quirky scenes featuring the naughty elves for their children to enjoy.

These include the elf breaking into the fridge and changing the colour of the milk, trying to escape the house out of the letterbox and eating all the chocolate out of the advent calendar.

If you've never heard about the Elf on the Shelf craze, the idea is that the elves are sent by Father Christmas to keep an eye on your children and report back to the North Pole who has been naughty and who has been nice.

With the help of a grown-up, the elves change position much to the delight of the kids in the morning - but not all of the elves are well-behaved and can end up getting up to no good.
