The new Newcastle United home kit isn’t due to be launched until the start of July – but pictures of the front and back of the finished product are now circulating online.
Puma shot the publicity stills last week for the new strip , which has long rumoured to contain wider black and white stripes than in recent years. And pictures have circulated on social media of the finished product – which has a black back rather than the white stripes.
Here they are:

The home kit designs received a pretty universally negative response from fans after the 'leak' so it is probably good news for all concerned that we've now learned the strip isn't the final design. The picture of the back of the shirt, in particular, is not accurate and may instead be a sample of the final strip.
It is the final kit of Puma’s ten year deal with Newcastle and will be followed by an away kit and a third kit, which have also been “leaked” since the turn of the year. The third kit is an orange strip with a design that reflects the cantilever roof of the stands at St James’ Park. See the rumoured away and third kits here:
United are set to reveal the kit in six weeks time along with change and a third strip to follow in the days after.
