More Parklife 2019 pictures: Mud, glorious mud as thousands of soggy revellers party in Heaton Park

As predicted the heavy rain fell at Parklife making ponchos, wellies and umbrella hats de riguer at the annual musical festival in Heaton Park.

Tens of thousands of people enjoyed the day despite Manchester showcasing a selection of different types of rain, ranging from horrible soggy drizzle to driving downpours.

But the grim weather didn't put off revellers who were seen frolicking around in the mud after adapting their dazzling outfits to fit the conditions.

The good news for tomorrow's attendees are things are looking better - but there will still be some damp weather around.

A slightly less humid Sunday should see the weather pick up. You can expect to see sunny intervals and a lot less rain.

By mid-morning you can expect sunny intervals with a little cloud however light showers may start to fall. Humidity levels score a 74pc, and drop off as the day continues.

Similar weather continues for the early afternoon, but the expected light shower appears to have a break. Wind levels reach 22 mph compared to the previous day's 35mph.

The pesky showers may make a comeback later on, however the sun is still expected to show up every now and then. The temperature for Sunday afternoon reaches it's peak for the full weekend, at 15 degrees.

Handily the rain is expected to stop completely at around 10pm. Yes, that's just as the two day festival comes to an end.

As well as rain, 'unseasonable windy weather' is expected over the course of tomorrow, so you might be best off sporting a secure umbrella hat or investing in a waterproof poncho, rather than packing an umbrella.
