More Mosley: Brothers C.J. and Jamey get to be Jets teammates

It was an emotional night in the Mosley house following the 2019 NFL draft.

C.J. Mosley set the tone when he broke the bank after signing a five-year deal with the Jets during the offseason. Never did he imagine, though, that his decision to join the Jets would also pair him with his younger brother.

Following the draft, Gang Green called Jamey Mosley to tell him that they wanted the undrafted free agent to join his sibling in the Big Apple.

In the video above, Jamey is announcing to a house full a family and friends that the Jets signed him as an undrafted free agent. The entire house went crazy after Jamey broke the news. Then, C.J. went up to Jamey and congratulated him on joining Gang Green. As for C.J., he wasn’t even surprised Jamey was signed and expects to do big things with him and the Jets.

Just like C.J., Jamey plays linebacker too. He was originally a walk-on at Alabama but earned a scholarship during his sophomore season. In three seasons at Alabama, Mosley played 32 games and registered 21 tackles, two sacks and two pass defenses.

While his numbers don’t really stand out, his story is one of determination. It took Mosley until his sophomore season just to get a scholarship and then, two years later, he finds himself on an NFL roster alongside his brother.

Whether he makes the team or not, this is truly a special moment for the Mosley brothers, who will get the opportunity to share the same field in the NFL.
