Victorians who work in the state's struggling live events industry are eligible for new support payments.
Creative Industries Minister Danny Pearson on Wednesday opened the second round of the Live Performance Support grants, for those impacted by event cancellations between May 27 and September 2.
The program will provide funding of up to $12,000 for eligible presenters and up to $4000 for suppliers who had been contracted to work on events and have lost income or incurred costs due to lockdowns.
The grants are open to those who work on stage and off, across live performances such as comedy, cabaret, dance, music, opera and theatre.
Victorians who have lost scheduled work interstate can also apply.
Mr Pearson said the program has been updated in response to industry feedback to assist a wider range of affected businesses and workers.
LIVE PERFORMANCE SUPPORT GRANTS:
* Presenter grants - open to live performance presenters, producers, promoters, venue owners and artists who promote their own shows. Can apply for either $7000 or $5000 for one event and a further $5000 for a second event.
* Supplier grants - open to suppliers contracted to work on events, including performers, crew, technicians and engineers. Can apply for a grant of either $200 or $500 per event for up to 20 events. Suppliers do not need to be GST-registered.
