
A number of Hunter venues have been added to the COVID-19 exposure site list as the health district calls for an increase in testing.
Soul Origin at Stockland Glendale is a casual contact site on Tuesday, August 17 between 1.35pm and 1.40pm must get tested and isolate until a negative result is received.
Chemist Warehouse, Newcastle was also a casual contact site on Wednesday, August 18 from 5.27pm to 5.37pm.
Tenambit Pharmacy has been added as a casual contact site from 11am to 11:05am on Friday, August 13 and 12:10pm to 2:15pm on Wednesday, August 11.
Anyone who attended Woolworths Stockland Green Hills between11.45pm and 2.15pm on Saturday, August 7 and1.30pm and 2.15pm on Saturday, August 14 is a casual contact.
Spar Express Supermarket Morpeth has also been added between7.15pm to 7.20pm on Friday 13 August 20216:35pm to 6:45pm on Thursday 12 August 20217:10pm to 7:20pm on Wednesday 11 August 2021
Anyone who attended these locations at these times must get tested and isolate until a negative result is received. If your date of exposure at this venue occurred in last 4 days, you must get another test on day 5 from the date of exposure.
Hunter New England Health said in the past week testing numbers across the health district had decreased by 60 per cent, from more than 16,000 tests a day to about 7,500.
"To ensure there are no unidentified cases in the community, we need to increase testing for an easing of stay-at-home restrictions to be considered," HNE Health said in a statement.
"If you are experiencing any symptoms at all, even mild symptoms, such as a sniffly nose, sore throat, headache, or loss of taste or smell, please get tested. Ensure you also get tested immediately if you have attended an exposure site on the day and times we list."
