
Jordan registered on Saturday 11 new coronavirus cases, raising its total to 607.
The health ministry said the new infections were detected among people who had come from the kingdom from abroad.
It said the virus was diagnosed among ten truck drivers and among a Jordanian who had returned home from abroad.
Three patients have recovered from the disease, taking the total to 411.
In the neighboring Palestinian Territories, the health ministry announced that no new virus cases were reported. Twelve patients have recovered in Ramallah and the suburbs of Jerusalem.
All confirmed patients are stable and no one is intensive care, announced Health Minister Mai al-Kaila.
Palestinian authorities have reported 554 coronavirus cases.
The Iraqi health ministry reported 67 new virus cases, taking the count to 3,260.
Four patients have died from the disease, raising the toll to 121, it announced on its official Facebook page.
Thirty-seven people have recovered, increasing the tally to 2,126.
North Africa
Egypt registered on Saturday 491 new virus cases, with its total reaching 11,719.
Fatalities rose to 612 after 20 patients died from the disease, said a health ministry spokesman.
Recoveries have meanwhile, increased to 2,950.
In Algeria, the health authorities reported 192 infections. The country’s total now stands at 6,821 cases.
Six fatalities were reported, raising the toll to 542, while 138 patients have recovered, taking the count to 3,409.
Morocco said Saturday that its virus cases have risen to 6,741 with 89 people testing positive for the virus.
Two more fatalities were registered, taking the toll to 192.
