More coronavirus cases confirmed in Leeds as 99 people test positive in Yorkshire

There have been another four cases of Covid-19 confirmed in Leeds.

It comes as another 99 cases of the virus were recorded across Yorkshire according to the latest figures released today.

In Leeds the total number of cases now stands at 3,708.

Across Yorkshire Bradford saw the highest jump with another 27 cases followed by Kirklees which had another 17 confirmed.

Other areas with big rises were Sheffield with another 14 and Rotherham with a further 13.

The East Riding of Yorkshire and York were the only two places not to record a rise.

It comes as another 13 people have died from the virus in England's hospitals.

That figure includes two patients in Doncaster and Rotherham.

  • Leeds - was 3,704 now 3,708 (+4)
  • Wakefield - was 1,753 now 1,759 (+6)
  • North Yorkshire - was 2,542 now 2,543 (+1)
  • Sheffield - was 4,076 now 4,090 (+14)
  • Barnsley - was 1,927 now 1,934 (+7)
  • Bradford - was 4,520 now 4,547 (+27)
  • Calderdale - was 733 now 738 (+5)
  • Rotherham - was 1,952 now 1,965 (+13)
  • Kirklees - was 2,222 now 2,239 (+17)
  • York - still 912
  • Doncaster - was 2,012 now 2,016 (+4)
  • East Riding of Yorkshire - still 1,645
  • Hull - was 1,547 now 1,548 (+1)
