More charges for massage therapist who allegedly recorded clients undressing

A massage therapist is facing almost 80 fresh charges for allegedly recording his female clients getting undressed in his clinic in a rural Western Australian town.

Mark William Robson, 41, pleaded guilty in the Albany Magistrates Court today to one count of indecently recording a child at his massage business on York Street in Albany.

Robson, from Lower King near Albany, was originally charged with 10 counts of installing a surveillance device to record a private activity, one count of indecent recording of a child under 16 and one count of possession of an optical surveillance device.

However, police later said he had been charged with a further 78 counts of installing a surveillance device to record a private activity.

It is alleged the offences occurred between 2014 and 2016.

Police raided the premises after receiving a public complaint.

Robson will reappear in court for the remaining charges to be read on October 28.

His bail conditions will also be reconsidered at this time.

He is due to be sentenced for the first charge on January 30, 2017.

He has been ordered not to approach the child or the clients he allegedly recorded.
