There are currently five active cases of COVID-19 in the territory, with the total caseload at 113.

It has been six days without a new case in the ACT after 973 negative tests were returned overnight.

There are now 34 cases linked to Casula's Crossroads Hotel which has prompted the ACT government to enforce self-quarantine for anyone who has returned from specific locations in south-west Sydney.

From noon Thursday, anyone who has been in the affected locations will be legally required to quarantine for 14 days from the date they were there, even if they do not have symptoms.

The locations are:

  • Crossroads Hotel in Casula - between Friday, July 3 to Friday July 10.
  • Planet Fitness in Casula - between Saturday July 4 and Friday July 10.
  • Picton Hotel in Picton - on Saturday July 4, Sunday July 5, Thursday July 9 or Friday July 10.

People who visited these locations on the specified dates are asked to get in contact with ACT Health through the COVID-19 Helpline on 02 6207 7244.

These people are also encouraged to get tested for COVID-19 - even if they have no symptoms.

ACT residents have been urged not to travel to areas where COVID-19 outbreaks are occurring in NSW.

This includes Liverpool and Campbelltown areas of Sydney more broadly.

There has been a spike in testing demand since the virus made a resurgence in the ACT last week.

More than 1100 people were tested on Tuesday, the biggest day of testing since the pandemic hit in March.

There has been 39,545 negative tests returned in total.
