If you trust the recruiting insiders, then you should prepare to see Emoni Bates pick Memphis over Michigan State.
A flurry of 247Sports crystal ball predictions came in on Wednesday in favor of Memphis landing Bates. Justin Thind — a recruiting insider on Michigan State — was one of five who submitted a prediction for Memphis on Wednesday.
The Spartans are also considered to be one of the finalists to land Bates, along with Oregon and skipping college to play in the G-League.
Last week, a pair of Rivals analysts submitted predictions of Bates to Memphis and it seems apparent that’s where he’ll end up. Bates has yet to announce anything himself so things could change, of course, but it doesn’t look good for those who wanted to see this big-time recruit in a Michigan State uniform next season.
