Morden stabbing: Two arrested on suspicion of murder after man knifed to death in south London

Two people have been arrested on suspicion of murder after a man was stabbed to death in south London.

Patrick Gomes De’Almeida, 25, died on October 1 after being knifed outside a block of flats in Morden.

Detectives arrested a 33-year-old man at Heathrow Airport, and a 28-year-old man at an address in Croydon on Tuesday.

They were arrested on suspicion of murder, causing grievous bodily harm, aggravated burglary and kidnap.

Both were taken to a south London police station where they remain in custody.

Police were called to London Road just before 11pm on the night of the incident.

Two men were found with stab wounds. Mr De’Almeida was pronounced dead at the scene, a second 33-year-old was treated at hospital for none life-threatening injuries.

The victim's next of kin have been made aware and are being supported by specialist officers.
