Moray Group appoints new chief operating officer

Professional services firm Moray Group has appointed Joseph Bowie as its new chief operating officer.

He joins after spending more than two decades at law firm Aberdein Considine.

Bowie will now have responsibilities across the multiple legal firms which operate under the Moray Group umbrella, including Simpson & Marwick in Edinburgh, Esson & Aberdein in Aberdeen and Alston Law in Glasgow.

Rob Aberdein launched Moray Group last year, with the aim was to launch or acquire legal and professional services practices, with a target of achieving turnover of £10m by the end of 2022.

Aberdein said: “We previously worked together for more than six years, so having Joe join the group at such a critical time is brilliant.

“His involvement gives the entire team confidence that we are going places – and fast.”

Bowie added: “Moray Group is all about creating and developing legal firms - and other professional services businesses - by challenging the traditional way of doing things to improve the customer experience.
