Moped thefts reported in Bucktown: police

Chicago police are warning Bucktown residents of two moped thefts reported in September in the Northwest Side neighborhood.

In each incident, an unknown person stole a victim’s parked moped and fled the scene, according to a community alert from Chicago police.

These thefts happened about 5 p.m. Sept. 27, in the 1900 block of West Wabansia Avenue and about 10 a.m. Sept. 28, in the 1800 block of West Wabansia Avenue, police said.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Area North detectives at 312-744-8263.
