A moped rider hit a teenage boy crossing the road before fleeing the scene.
Merseyside Police is appealing for information following a crash involving a 14-year-old boy and a moped. At around 7pm on Wednesday, November 16 a teenage boy was crossing the road on Gardenside, Leosowe when he was hit by a moped which failed to stop at the scene.
The victim suffered a fractured wrist and was taken to hospital for treatment. Police said officers are appealing for witnesses, as well as any CCTV, doorbell and dash camera footage which may assist with the investigation.

Inspector of matrix operations, Emma Haffenden said: "This was a particular nasty collision where the moped was riding at high speed and knocked over the boy, which left him not only in distress but with a broken wrist. His phone was also broken from the incident.
"I would urge anyone who was in the vicinity and saw a moped on the night riding recklessly to please contact us. I also ask residents to please check your CCTV and doorbell footage to see if it captures a moped being driven at high speed."
