Moorefield GAA youngster completes clever hurling challenge at home

Moorefield GAA shared a clever hurling challenge thought up by one of their younger members as players continue to find creative ways to practice their skills at home.

In the video, Moorefield youngster Gavin fires a tennis ball on to his roof from the house's back garden before running through the house and collecting it when it drops from the roof at the front.

Moorefield tweeted the video and laid down a challenge to other hurlers, saying: "Check this skill out. It may have taken many attempts but if at first you don’t succeed... try, try and try again! Well done Gavin. Anyone else want to try?!"

Some top inter-county stars have also been showing players across the country how to keep their skills sharp while at home during the coronavirus pandemic.

Dublin footballer Ciaran Kilkenny is posting daily training videos on Twitter, while players send on videos of their efforts at Kilkenny's drills.

Diarmuid Connolly even got in on the action, with Kilkenny commenting, 'No better man to watch on how to kick a ball', and Alan Brogan saying, 'He's back'.

The St Vincent's clubman got Dublin fans talking wit his response, replying: "Never left."
